When the waiting gets tough!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. -Galatians 6:9
This morning I awoke at 3am! Yes 3am! Now I am usually a morning person, but that means a 7am morning person not a 3am morning person. I knew that waking up so early meant one thing, the Lord was wanting my attention. I was definitely right and a burden was placed on my heart for those who are in waiting.
Yesterday was Mothers Day and this may come as a shock, but yesterday was a very difficult day for me. For the past two years my husband and I have tried to conceive and are waiting for the promise of becoming parents. Our greatest desire is to become parents, there isn't a day that we haven't prayed to become parents. Although it is a promise from God that one day we will bear children, sometimes in the waiting we can grow weary and lose sight of the very promise that God had spoken.
I want to encourage you with this, no matter what the promise is that you are awaiting, know that GOD IS FAITHFUL!
2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
God is not a man, he cannot lie!
Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Trust in the Lord, wherever you are on your journey in waiting KEEP GOING! DON'T GIVE UP! Your perseverance and endurance will produce good fruit and patience. The God who has saved you hears your cries, and every prayer! Our guarantee is in the cross, that God is for us and not against us. Put your hope in his word, seek scripture which is truth and speak and pray it over your situation.
There is always something to be thankful for, I was sent a beautiful text from a friend thanking me for being a spiritual mother in her life. Right then I began to praise God for the things he has already done, for the lives I've been able to pour into, for my husband, for his faithfulness in my marriage and finances. This list goes on, and the very air in your lungs in reason enough to be thankful. If you have to start there thats okay, just thank him and watch hope arise.
Susannah Spurgeon, wife of Charles Spurgeon wrote ...
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land; But for you, O Lord, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer. "Christ is the answer! He is your rest and the treasure you seek. Wait for the Lord."
My sister be courageous in HOPE! Be radical in FAITH! Abide in Christ alone and his word! Stand on every word, he is the faithful to the end he will finish what he's started. I want to leave you with this beautiful song sung by Kristene DiMarco of Bethel let this become your anthem. To God be the Glory for your story! I am praying for everyone who reads this and is in waiting! I cant tell you the exact date that I will become a mother, but I can tell you that I will because it is a promise from God and until then I am thankful for the process to the promise, I truly believe God is refining us and making us into the parents we have prayed to become.
Lets be a community of sisters that prays for eachother diligently in the waiting and celebrate the victory that already is!
